What started as a beautiful design idea turned into one of the most complex structural transformations we’ve ever taken on. The design team at @bespokeonly imagined this home with an even more dramatic, open, vaulted ceiling — nearly doubling the height of the space and connecting the second floor with a suspended catwalk overlooking the room below. To make that vision real, we had to remove the entire structural core of the home — the very pieces holding the roof up, with help from our sub contractor @jf_roxo_construction. That meant the only solution was to support the house from above, using custom steel engineered specifically for this home. Our hearts are heavy as we share this.   Our close friend, Victor Luis Quispe (1988–2026), passed away suddenly at the age of 37. He was also a beloved local barber known to many as @blessedbyvic, and someone who truly left an impact on everyone he met. He brought light, kindness, and connection to our community in ways that will never be forgotten.   As his family grieves this unimaginable loss while also preparing to welcome a new baby, no one should have to carry this burden alone.
